Summary
We produced the interactive video “Distance-Learning University Tour,” which introduces how to study at university, for Cyber University Inc., a SoftBank Group company.
Cyber University is Japan's first online university. It used Fukuoka City's structural reform special zone to receive approval from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in fiscal 2006 and opened in April 2007. As a fully online university where the entire program is completed over the internet, it lets students earn a bachelor's degree without ever commuting to campus, and it provides its proprietary e-learning platform “Cloud Campus” both inside and outside the university. “Distance-Learning University Tour” was produced as an interactive video that clearly explains, through in-video commentary, how to study at such a distance-learning university.
In the video, Professor Uehara and researcher Motomura of the Institute for Distance-Learning Universities explain in detail what kind of university a distance-learning university is.
